Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher never party together anymore, according to film director and documentary maker Ballie Walsh.

Walsh, who produced last year’s Oasis DVD ‘Lord Don’t Slow Me Down’ and is currently promoting ‘Flashbacks of a Fool’, claims the pair operate a “one day on, one day off” system as they are unable to spend time together under the influence of alcohol.

Instead, he said, they go out separately when on tour with their system deciding whose turn it is to go out drinking.

Speaking about his time filming the band, Walsh told NME: “What happened is Noel went out one night and had a rest the next night when Liam went out.”

The filmmaker defended the brothers’ actions, arguing that it was impressive they had managed to stay together as a band for over a decade.

He said: “Well, would I want to go on tour with my brother? No. I think how they manage to keep it working is great. The fact that they’ve survived this long and they’re still doing it [touring], and they go on stage together every night – well it works.”

They are nominated in the ‘Best Track’ category for the digital single ‘Lord Don’t Slow Me Down’ and in the ‘Best Music DVD’ category for the ‘Lord Don’t Slow Me Down’ tour film. It was brought to the attention of oasisinet that the international version of the recently released tour film ‘Lord Don’t Slow Me Down’ did not include Italian subtitles.

In response to demand, oasisinet and Universal Music have arranged for the film to be streamed here on the site in full, for a limited time with Italian subtitles.

As a special thank you to the army of Oasis fans in Italy this stream will be available to view once only per user, for those resident in Italy or with an Italian e-mail address (ending .it).

The stream will be active on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th December; check back then to watch it.

New ‘NME Essential Bands’ album has exclusive track

Oasis’ download only single ‘Lord Don’t Slow Me Down’ will get its first CD release exclusively on the new ‘NME Essential Bands’ CD.

The album, which is out in the shops now, also features songs from Amy Winehouse, Kaiser Chiefs and Biffy Clyro.

‘Lord Don’t Slow Me Down’ was previously released only as a digital single, and feature on the band’s DVD of the same title.

Speaking about the track Noel Gallagher told NME.COM: “That got left off the last album because it was the same verse all the way until the end. It’s kind of locked into (the ‘Lord Don’t Slow Me Down’) documentary now because it appears at the end of the film. It’s quite rocking. It’s just the 12 bar blues really, but it’s good.”

Manchester fans can snap up ‘Lord Don’t Slow Me Down’ vinyl

Oasis are running a promotion in their hometown of Manchester, whereby fans can get hold of a 12-inch vinyl promo record of their new track, ‘Lord Don’t Slow Me Down’.

The record will be given to the first 50 Oasis fans to buy a copy of the band’s new documentary DVD, which shares the song’s title, in the Market Street, Manchester, branch of HMV on Monday morning (October 29).

The song is already available to download now, but has not yet been released physically in the shops.
