Gallagher: Be here now is ’s**t’

Oasis songwriter Noel Gallaher has slammed his band’s 1997 album Be Here Now as “s**t” and the result of his cocaine habit.

Gallagher, who has since cleaned up, claims Be Here Now was sub-standard because the band were allowed as much time as they pleased and were granted access to anything they wanted.

Speaking on this weekend’s TV show UK Music Hall of Fame, to be aired on Channel 4, he says: “Good times don’t make for good music. All the good music’s made in the bad times. Definitely Maybe – written, unemployed; recorded, broke. Same with Morning Glory – recorded, broke, in twelve days. Be Here Now – three months, anything you want, s**t. Although I never listen to it, I kind of like the fact that it’s there if I ever want to go and listen to a soundtrack to my own cocaine, overweight, alcoholic madness.”

His other kid, LENNON, was nowhere to be seen.

But Liam was wearing his famous JOHN LENNON-style cap as a nod to his idol.

The singer stocked up with a loaf of Hovis white and a couple of yogurts.

As the sign says, it looks like the rock wildman has swopped lairy for dairy.
