The pair have been engaged for five years, but their romance has been on the rocks for the past year as former All Saints singer Appleton becomes increasingly frustrated with Gallagher’s reluctance to tie the knot.

She has now issued the Oasis frontman with an ultimatum – they must marry or split.

A source reveals: “Nicole feels the problem is they haven’t got married yet.”

Gallagher booed off Brown’s Manchester gig

Oasis star Noel Gallagher stormed off stage during a recent concert in his home city – after disgruntled fans threw bottles and booed at the shocked singer.

The Don’t Look Back in Anger rocker had hoped to surprise fans by making a surprise appearance at ex-Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown’s gig, to perform their duet Keep What Ya Got at the Apollo Manchester, Britain.

Gallagher was horrified by the crowd’s inhospitable reaction but Brown rescued the concert by telling off the fans and dragging Gallagher back onto the stage to finish the show.

One fan says: “The gig was fantastic, until Noel spat out his dummy. He came on as a surprise guest but he was booed and a pint was chucked at him and went all over his guitar. The Ian made some comment about how Noel is his hero and that we should show him some respect.”

A Universal Records spokesman contends: “Noel said somebody threw a half-pint of lager on him and it went all over his jacket and guitar. So he went off to give his jacket to a roadie. Ian went to see why Noel had stopped playing, so that’s why he walked off as well.”

Noel Gallaghar wants Oasis to sing like Abba!

[Hollywood News]: London, Oct 24: British rocker Noel Galaghar has revealed that even though he realises that it will make lose his cool, grungy image, he is still going to try and persuade the rest of the world that the Swedish band Abba was the best band of the 1970’s, on this weeks Hall of Fame Show.

The ‘Wonderwall’ singer said that he has also been persuading the other members of ‘Oasis’ to cover Abba’s ‘SOS,’ which he thinks is one of the best Abba songs ever along with ‘Super Troupers’ and ‘Waterloo,’ reports the Sun.

“People might think it’s weird me being into Abba but those songs were amazing. They are incredibly well recorded, produced, sung and written. From a songwriting point of view they were up there with the best,” the report him as saying. (ANI)

Gallagher and Albarn confirmed for Band Aid

Following earlier reports that Coldplay, Travis and The Darkness have been approached to feature on a new re-recording of the Band Aid hit “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” comes the news that Brit Pop’s two biggest arch rivals will both be taking part.

For weeks, rumours have been circulating that a new version of the song is being planned featuring a whole host of current acts (the third time the single has been released). In fact, bookies were already making it odds-on favourite to top the Christmas charts before the single’s release was confirmed.

Whereas the original version was coordinated by Sir Bob Geldof, this time co-founder of Band Aid, Midge Ure will be acting as executive producer on the record and has been trying to assemble the artists.

While some reports claim Coldplay, Travis, The Darkness and Jamelia are already confirmed, Ure has just stated in an interview with 6Music that two of the UK music scenes biggest stars, Oasis’ Noel Gallagher and Blur’s Damon Albarn will be putting aside their differences to appear on the track.

Midge went on to confirm that Band Aid III will be happening in an undisclosed London studio sometime in the next few weeks with Radiohead, Beck and Travis producer Nigel Godrich handling production duties.

Robbie Williams, Keane and Dido have all been approached and Midge also explained that he intends to get Bono from U2 to re-sing his line “Well tonight, thank God it’s them, instead of you?” from the original 1984 version of the song.

Informationen aus erster Hand, also!

Oasis, Stone Roses legends join Ian Brown

Ian Brown

Ian Brown

Madchester Reunited

IAN BROWN was joined by NOEL GALLAGHER and old bandmate MANI onstage at the MANCHESTER APOLLO last night.

The ex-Stone Roses singer performed the gig (October 18) as part of his solo tour to support his current album “Solarized”. However, in addition to his own songs, Brown performed many Roses classics – the first time he’s done it in his home town in almost a decade.

During the encore Gallagher came onto the stage and helped Brown on recent single “Keep What Ya Got”. The Oasis man co-wrote the song, and provided backing vocals and lead guitar.

Later in the set, Brown went to the side of the stage, and persuaded Mani, who played bass with Brown in the Roses to come out and take a bow. The bassist had been spotted earlier in the night prompting speculation he would perform some songs live, but that didn’t come to pass.

“Let’s have a big hand for Mani”, Brown smiled. “Mani’s in the house!”

The audience then went crazy as the pair hugged and waved.

For the final encore Brown was joined on stage by DJ James Lavelle, and did the two songs he recorded with UNKLE – “Be There” and “R.E.I.G.N.”.

The setlist ran:

  • “Destiny Of Circumstance”
  • “Sally Cinnamon”
  • “(Song For My) Sugar Spun Sister”
  • “Where Angels Play”
  • “Waterfall”
  • “Made Of Stone”
  • “She Bangs The Drums”
  • “Golden Gaze”
  • “Love Like A Fountain”
  • “If Dolphins Were Monkeys”
  • “Longsight M13″
  • “The Sweet Fantastic”
  • “Forever And A Day”
  • “Time Is My Everything”
  • “F.E.A.R.”
  • “I Wanna Be Adored”
  • “Love Bug”
  • “Keep What Ya Got”
  • “Be There”
  • “R.E.I.G.N.”

Oasis & The Streets join the stars at Zutons London gig

Zuton fever spreads

A star-studded audience turned out in force to see THE ZUTONS perform for a triumphant gig in LONDON over the weekend.

Har Mar Superstar, Noel Gallagher, members of The Streets, Elbow, The Music, and Gorillaz were there to see the Scouse five-piece play Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

The Mercury Music Prize nominees ditched their yellow boiler suits for the night and performed a series of hits from their debut album including ‘Zuton Fever’, ‘Havana Gang Brawl’, ‘Long Time Coming’ and ‘Pressure Point’.

The biggest cheers came for hit singles ‘Remember Me’ and ‘You Will You Won’t', which singer Dave McCabe dedicated to the crowd.

The Scouse five-piece also played forthcoming single ‘Don’t Ever Think’ and new track ‘Weekend Scrub’ which McCabe said was dedicated to saxophonist Abi Harding.

As the band left the stage they received a standing ovation from the crowd.

Speaking before the show, drummer Sean Payne told NME.COM: “We have been looking forward to this gig loads. It’s been weird getting used to the big places, because we have been used to playing festivals and playing in America. So coming back here is a bit crazy, but it’s good though.”

The Zutons are due to play two consecutive homecoming Christmas shows at Liverpool’s Royal Court on December 17 and 18.

“We don’t know if we’ll be swapping the boiler suits for some Santa outfits. But it is Christmas so it could happen I reckon,” Sean joked.

The band’s UK tour will continue tomorrow night (October 12) in Northampton.
